Like many of the children in our class, Sanjita has been VERY interested in this unit of inquiry. Two weeks ago she brought in some life cycle books for us to read. Today during our Morning Meeting she presented us with some work she did at home. Sanjita extended our thinking from class and made her own lists of living and non-living things. She also explained her developing understanding of the life cycles of frogs and butterflies, based the reading she has done and her observations of the tadpoles and caterpillars in our classroom. Well done Sanjita!
This morning at our Morning Meeting, Georgia shared some work that she had done over the weekend. She had hand drawn a national flag for each child in the class based on where she knew her friends were born or had spent most of their lives. What a nice surprise for all of us! Georgia demonstrated how knowledgeable she was about national flags and gave other children a chance to demonstrate their knowledge. Every child was able to identify their flag and many children were able to identify all of the flags shared. Thank you Georgia for this Morning Meeting treat!
